Jal Shapath: A Commitment to Water Conservation

Students and teachers of Indian International School, Benin proudly joined the Jal Andolan (Water Movement) a powerful initiative promoting water conservation and addressing the growing challenge of water scarcity.

As part of this meaningful campaign, our students took the “Jal Shapath” (Water Pledge), demonstrating their commitment to responsible water use and environmental sustainability. Inspired by ongoing efforts in India and supported by the High Commission of India, Abuja (India in Nigeria), our school community embraced this movement by extending its impact to the Republic of Benin.

The Jal Andolan emphasizes that water conservation is a shared responsibility across nations. By participating in this initiative, our students are learning that meaningful change begins with simple, conscious actions.
